In VRF air conditioning systems can we operate some of the indoor units in cooling mode and some others in heating mode?

It is possible when the unit is heat pump type and the whole structure of the installation has been designed for this purpose. Such installation should include 3-pipe system units, outdoor units with Inverter compressors modular operating and the suitable control system.
